| Why are you joining the Washington News Council Community? | Because I believe in the mission. The media is the watchdog of the government, but someone has to watch the watchdog. By being a member of the council, I welcome the scrutiny of this organization since I already follow the principles it was founded on. |
| Tell us a bit about yourself | I am a veteran who is coming to the journalism field later than most. Even though it felt like I fell into journalism, it feels like something I was meant to do. I had never thought I would become a journalist, now I can’t imagine being anything else. For my last year at school, I am taking Arabic so that I can go back overseas and tell the stories that are need to be told. |
