|Why are you joining the Washington News Council Community?||I want to help educate the citizens of Washington and its visitors about important issues. I have no personal agenda and no political affiliation but prefer to do grassroots analysis and advocacy based on facts and proven methods.|
|Tell us a bit about yourself||I am a retired aerospace engineer, technical writer, and editor. 20 years in the US Air Force, 11 years at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. In 1998, I co-authored a book, Welcome to Washington, with a retired real estate agent, Clem Buckley, who has since moved to Florida. (I guess he likes no income tax.) We traveled all over Washington, taking pictures and writing a chapter about each county, plus sections on history, geography, environment, and government. It is now out of date and out of print, but comparing our state government then and now is pretty scary. We need to fix it badly.|
