Thank you, Jacob. This morning’s Times editorial page has another ”Special to the Times” against I-1098 that contains little of substance or logic. I will reply to it in detail shortly.
In my last post on topic Seattle Times Flunks Math on I-1098, I suggested that the Washington Policy Center might have funding from biased sources, and it turns out I was correct. See details at http://www.desmogblog.com/washington-policy-center-background-and-history. -

On Monday, Aug. 9, The Times recommended John Koster and Rick Larsen in the Second Congressional District (Snohomish, Island, Skagit, Whatcom, and San Juan Counties). While saying “We are not thrilled” with Koster and Larsen, The Times recommended them anyway. The Times also prints guest editorials that match its editorial board’s bias without any critical assessment. For instance (see http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/opinion/2012238971_guest30mercier.html), the directors of the Washington Policy Center claim to have used “economic modeling” to show that replacing the B&O tax with an income tax “modeled the worst, causing the most job loss and economic distortion.” [...]
