johnhamer posted an update in the group Under-reported news: We\'ve had recent inquiries from citizens concerned that their local newspapers and other media organizations were not covering important local stories. The WNC was founded to address sins of commission, not sins of omission. But under-reported (or non-reported) stories are equally disturbing, and may damage a community as well. The WNC would like to become an online forum for discussion of issues such as this. Are there stories in YOUR community that are not being reported fully or fairly, if at all? Send us examples! We\'ll invite the local news outlets to reply to your concerns. That\'s what these new groups and forums are all about. Join us in helping maintain public trust and confidence in the news media! With their First Amendment rights come great responsibilities.
