Concerning the ”Coal Train” story and the proposed superport for Cherry Point, I hope everyone has had a chance to review the web site: http://www.coaltrainfacts.org/key-facts.
I’d enjoy participating with a journalistic team exploring this issue and contributing factual research to be included in articles for public consumption on this critical issue. Washington State has the opportunity to have a favorable impact on the global warming problem by stimulating an open dialouge on the coal train issue and clearly illuminiating the carbon impact of the shipment of coal half way across the world. It’s reasonable to assume the facts may be so horrific that our illuminiation might ”derail” the entire enterprise. I’ll refrain from editorial comment on that potential eventuality.
