About Heidi Dietrich

HEIDI DIETRICH has worked as a journalist and writer for the past decade.  Upon graduating from Willamette University, she took a job as a neighborhood news reporter with Pacific Publishing Company in Seattle.

She left Pacific Publishing to attend a Master’s in Journalism program at Stanford University.  During the intense one year program, Heidi completed magazine-length projects on female war correspondents and the Innocence Project.

Upon graduation from Stanford, Heidi took a job as a reporter for the Puget Sound Business Journal.  Over seven years at the PSBJ, Heidi covered a variety of beats, including media and marketing, hospitality and tourism, beer, wine and liquor, minority business, biotech, and higher education.

Heidi left the PSBJ last April and joined Discovery Bay Games, a fast growing board game company.  For four months, Heidi subbed in for the company’s public relations professional, who was out on maternity leave.  In December, Heidi became a contract writer for the company, and has been writing questions for Saturday Night Live and MGM Studios board games. She is also writing freelance journalism articles and recently completed a nonfiction book proposal.

When not writing, Heidi rows on a crew team and runs ultra-marathons.  Heidi has worked and studied in Latin America and Spain and is fluent in Spanish.
